It’s a Wrap! 2020/21 EPL Final Day Drama

The 2020/21 Premier League has come to an end following the last fixtures of Matchday 38 which included a thrilling battle between Liverpool, Chelsea and Leicester to see who would finish 3rd and 4th in the top four of the league table.

Sadio Mane’s two goals against Crystal Palace granted Liverpool third position, while Leicester’s loss against Tottenham blew their chances of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League for the second time in the club’s history.

However, Leicester’s loss granted Chelsea a lucky opportunity to finish in fourth place despite a 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa.

Manchester City were officially crowned the champions and finally got to lift their third piece of silverware under Pep Guardiola.

Despite the excitement, it was City’s record goalscorer, Sergio Aguero’s last appearance for the club after 10 years, which brought unhappy Guardiola to tears during an emotional post-match interview.
